Welcome back to the mini luxury bath series. This is one of our simpler bath DIYS, but it's one of the most rewarding due to the nature of the bath water.
We're basically going to turn your bath into a giant cup of black tea. Run your bath water hot. How much hot water you add completely depends on how hot the water in your bathtub can get. I recommend running it as hot as it can go for 50% of the bath. Add the black tea bags into the bath by dropping it directly under the spout, that way the tea will already be spread through the bath by the time you start adding hot water. If the bath is tepid by the time it's finished being drawn, then you won't have to worry about the black tea being watered down too much because there's not any heat to help it spread.
When you add the cold water, remember you're just making it cool enough so it doesn't burn you. A warm soak can help soften up your skin if you apply lotion afterwards. It loosens up dead skin. But if you're heart is beating too fast or you're truly uncomfortable in the water, then you might want to dd some more cool water.
Soak in the bathtub for as long s it takes to get cool, or twenty minutes. Whatever comes first.
Black tea soothes sunburns, so this bath can help your skin get back to normal if you've spent too much time in the sun. It reduced other forms of irritation as well, such as inflammation and puffiness.
