Luxury Bath Series #9: Apple Cider Vinegar Soak

June 11, 2018

We've got an awesome luxury solution to body acne. Unfortunately, while face acne seems to fade as we grow older, body acne can persist well into old age. Apple cider vinegar is an age old remedy while can help you get a handle on the dark marks covering your body at a thriftier price than super expensive "miracle solutions".

Start by running a cool bath. Part of apple cider vinegar's effectiveness is it's strength. If you use it while taking a super hot bath, you might dry out or irritate your skin. Cool water is best. Especially when you're going to be in the water for a little while.

Pour in 1/2 a cup of apple cider vinegar as the water is running. You can get a lot of apple cider vinegar at your local grocery store at a low price. It has a pungent smell, and tastes like -- you guessed it -- vinegar. It usually has a yellowish-orange tint, but make sure to check the expiration date before you buy to make sure you're not getting cheated out of the full apple cider vinegar experience.

Run the water until you feel like you can sufficiently submerge your body without overflowing the tub when you step in. Soak in the apple cider vinegar.

You'll feel your acne slightly tightening up, and with repeated soaks, you'll eventually see a gradual reduction in your body acne. Yay!

You might find that after you're done, you smell like apple cider vinegar. The smell will fade after about fifteen minutes, after which you'll feel squeaky clean. Feel free to administer scented lotion if you feel a little self concious.
