Mosquito Repellent Candles In 3 Steps

June 18, 2018

It's summer time. You know what that means.

Snack time! (For the bugs at least.) Just about everything in summer is perfect. The only thing there is to really fear is becoming a buffet. So here's a recipe for mosquito repellent candles. You're going to need to gather some supplies first.

Shop For (Makes 2 Candles):

1. Floating Candles

2. Lemongrass Essential Oil

3. Basil

4. Lime And A Lemon

5. Pint Sized Mason Jars

Follow these directions exactly, and you'll have a new thrifty way to ward of mosquitoes

1. Slice up your lime and lemon. Try to make the slices even. Toss the slices into your jar.

2. Fill your jar with water. Chop up your basil springs and pour them inside. Make sure there're enough basil that you can smell it when you scent the water.

3. Be generous and add 20 drops of lemongrass oil, stirring it in as you pour. Put the floating candle on top and enjoy!
